Anne’s School Presentations
|
“Anne Isaacs, author, storyteller and educator, came into our community, our schools and our hearts. She touched many children with the inspiration of learning how to write and how to ‘tell your own story’. We will remember Anne’s visit for many years to come.”
– Lee F, high school librarian
In my own words...
As a writer, mother, and curriculum specialist for over twenty years, I bring a wealth of experience to my programs for all grade levels. Depending on your school’s needs, I can speak to a small group, class or large audience on a wide choice of topics.
My talks open up the world of books to your students, giving them an insider’s view of the process of writing. I can work with students on their own writing, read from my books, or challenge a class with a tall tale ‘contest’. Engaging, hands-on activities boost students’confidence, interest, and ability to write.
At the end of each visit, I provide teachers with follow-up ideas related to the day’s talks.
I look forward to hearing from you.
“The relevance of your presentation to the curriculum was exceptional. All students were entranced by your techniques and are eager to use them in their writing. You were deï¬nitely an inspiration."
– Katherine L., fourth grade teacher
“We noted in particular your wonderful way with your young audience, your ability to capture their interest and build on it. And I can attest to the excitement that you generated among our fourth and ï¬fth graders with your discussion about the nature of tall tales and how they ï¬t into the American experience. You held them in the palm of your hand."
– Edith C., lower school librarian
